The former is trying to tell him his theory on Nathan’s ‘murder,’ while the latter keeps looking at Nora, who is obviously behaving differently. Luke and Nathan follow this up with a private conversation over some drinks.
Ingrid is not happy that a temp was sent, as ‘Nora’ walks off. It is all cleared up when the waitress Nora confirms she is a temp, much to Nathan’s sadness. Ingrid is not happy with the waitress before Nathan interrupts and demands that Nora speak. Nathan naturally asks where she has been, but with Tinsley in control, neither of them can understand as it is not really Nora. Nathan drops a fork on the ground, and both Nora and he goes to pick it up under the table. Back at the party, Nathan continues to stare at the ‘waitress’ in the form of Nora. Matt suggests that Nora help design a compromise avatar and earn her spot in the camp. Matt informs her that Pastor Rob hates all forms of upload, while the rest hate it because it is for the rich only. Nora asks why the Luds would be interested in Lake View. Matt suggests that Boris will be used as an avatar that will allow Matt to sneak into Lake View.Īfter all, no one would question an extra AI Guy look-alike. Shocked at what she is seeing, ‘Boris’ tells her that he has been the face of many things. However, it turns out to be ‘AI Guy’ who is now ‘Boris.’ Having her eyes closed, she thinks it could be Nathan. Then shifting scenes, Matt and Nora then take a walk as he introduces her to someone from her old life. Given she is a novice, she programs things to make it seem that Nora is handing out the food. Choak that Nathan has no memories.Īleesha arrives to serve the next course before Tinsley helps Aleesha to get things rolling. Choak mentions that Nathan informed him that he had worked on a similar project to Freeyond before the conversation is interjected by Luke and Ingrid as they try to convince Mr. Choak, though, agrees it is a good idea, as it allows anyone to be uploaded, even poor people, which Nathan resonates with. Meanwhile, Yang approves of Freeyond, while ‘The Professor’ states he would never upload to it. However, Ingrid was aware of the attack, to Nathan’s surprise. Nathan states he was unaware before Mildred chimes in by declaring that she is scared of the Luds. We then move back to the dinner table, as the Professor asks Nathan what he thinks about the attack on ‘Freeyond.’ It looks as though Aleesha and Tinsley will be the Angels for Ingrid’s party. Then a premium guest request flashes on Lucy’s computer. The party is a disaster, as Ingrid fires the AI Guy in front of everyone. Then the first course of a bisque arrives, but it is too pungent for the guests. Nathan tries to get the conversation flowing by asking people about their reactions to the recent update. Ingrid then introduces people around the table. ‘The Professor’ is not impressed with the standard of the party, which Ingrid takes out on the AI Guy. The party starts as we see Yang and ‘The Professor’ arrive too. Luke then arrives with a barrel of beer with Mildred behind, who is drunk. The AI Guy makes a gaffe over how the woman is Mr Choak’s sex doll, which displeases Ingrid. Choak (David) arrives with a programmed version of a woman who looks like his ex-wife. Nora defends herself before Dave assures the Pastor that Nora will work harder. Clearly, he was not happy about her kissing Matt. Pastor Rob interrupts and tells Dave that Nora needs to take things more seriously.
Nora’s father, Dave, however, wants more ‘chillies.’ She has made him some food, which she warns is spicy.ĭespite his best attempts to like it, Matt ends up coughing as the others laugh. Moving back to Nora and Matt, he is eating around a campfire with some other residents. Nathan returns and agrees to attend the dinner party to the surprise of Ingrid. After all, he did love her once, coupled with the fact that Ingrid did upload herself for him.Īs Nathan considers giving things a go, Ingrid is busy making dinner preparations with the help of the ‘ AI Guy‘ and Ivan. Luke does not help the situation, as he outlines the troubles in Nathan’s life: No Nora, living with Ingrid, and of course, having his memories back, which could get him into trouble down the line.īut at the same time, Nathan is getting around to the idea that maybe he and Ingrid are meant for each other. Then the scene shifts to Luke and Nathan in the bathroom, with the latter still trying to track Nora but knowing he must move on.
